Construction Notice

The City of Polokwane is in the process of implementing Phase 1a of the Leeto la Polokwane public transport service. As part of the implementation, the City is currently rehabilitating certain roads to ensure efficient operations of the system.

Thabo Mbeki Street as one of the Feeder routes between Fauna Park, Flora Park and the CBD, is undergoing a rehabilitation process between Dorp and Schoeman streets between May and June 2019.

The construction will be carried out in two phases as follows:

• Phase A During this phase the southbound lanes will be closed and the traffic will be moved over to the northbound lane. One lane of traffic will operate in each direction.
• Phase B During this phase the traffic will be redirected onto the newly rehabilitated southbound lane. The northbound lane will be closed off to traffic.

Motorists are urged to be vigilant and to obey all the rules of the road and where possible use alternative routes.
